Although Private Collection perfume was first released for private use, it was eventually introduced to the mass market in 1973. It contains a refreshing assortment of notes, and its opening consists of orange blossom, jasmine, linden, and honeysuckle. The heart is wonderfully floral with scents of coriander, ylang-ylang, Reseda, chrysanthemum and Bulgarian rose. It ends strongly with musk, heliotrope, sandalwood, and amber.

Estee Lauder herself used this fragrance before bringing it to the masses.
